Members of the Philippine Exporters Foundation (PhilExport) of the Calabarzon (Calamba, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) led by their prsident Clemente Manrique, owner of CSM International based in Biñan, Laguna wednesday visited the One Town One Product (OTOP) Center here on a raw material sourcing mission.
The group was looking for raffia products, raffia components and other raw materials for accessories for their gifts, toys and housewares (GTH) items.
The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) had recommended this town's OTOP program and the OTOP center as the potential source. the visitors bought P10,000 worth of samples of the finsihed products and components. The groups also told the supplirs to expect ample orders in a month.
The visiting team included Josefina Nuñez, GM of JOAMI International; Romeo Valderama Jr., CEO of SarilinLikha Novelties; Tony Ganal of Marianka Crafts; and Budji Salceda-Tresvalles of Next Design Inc., guided by Blair Panong and Vierna Teresa Ligan of DTI Bohol.
