Aspiring to compete with provinces in the Visayas that have taken advantage for the multi-million call center industry, Gov. Erico Aumentado has asked the Philippine Long Distance Telephone (PLDT) Company to upgrade its existing lines into fiber optics.
Outsourcing firms have lately favored establishing their businesses in the provinces as they could save from labor costs.
