BOHOL TO HOLD 1ST SEAWEEDS MEET


With the emerging trend of high marketability and price of carageenan, Bohol thru the Provincial Agriculture Office, Department of Trade and Industry and the Provincial Seaweed Development Council musters its efforts to unite seaweeds stakeholders into coming up with plans for Bohol to go on with this endeavor.
Bohol will hold the Seaweeds Congress on November 9-11, 2005 from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Talibon town.
Congress also includes an exhibit, demonstration and the congress proper.
Other activities include trade fair and exhibits, picture exhibits, documentary and video showing.
Adopting "Quality Seaweeds Towards Global Competitiveness" the gab will weld seaweeds industry players to come up with plan of actions for improved production techniques, marketing and likaging startegies as well as access to credit facilities for a quality seaweeds ready for export.
About 170 participants are expected to attend.
