OTOP FAMILIARIZATION W/ TOUR OPERATORS, GUIDES

As a way of promoting the One-Town-Product Program (OTOP) of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, the Department of Trade and Industry REgion 7 in coordination with the Department of Tourism also fo Region 7 organized an OTOP Familiarization Tour to DOT accredited tour operators and guides of Bohol last February 19.

The familiarization tour was done after the group was given an OTOP orientation in January at the Bohol Divers' Resort in Panglao.

DTI has seen the potential of our local guides in helping promote OTOP to their guests by including it in their tour shops, in the storylines that they relate to their guests and by being OTOP mobile billboards during their tours.

This is a good strategy whereby Bohol Tour Guides promotes OTOP centers. What is the status of this? Any written document where I can further track its progress? thanks.
