PANGLAO AIRPORT STARTS WORK JULY 2008

The proposed P4.2-billion Panglao Bohol International Airport will finally commence its civil works between July and December this year, according to General Manager Alfonso Cusi, Jr. of the Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA).

The MIAA chief executive briefed Gov. Erico Aumentado yesterday on the latest directive issued by MalacaƱang regarding the move to fast track the airport.

President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo signed last week Memo Order No. 282 which mandates that MIAA, being the principal fund source of the airport should assume full control in the construction, operation and maintenance of the proposed airport.
